Phil is Cromwell’s Chief Sustainability Officer, responsible for global sustainability and innovation strategy.
Throughout a 17-year tenure at Cromwell, Phil has led the Facilities, Projects and Development teams in providing property operations, technical due diligence and delivering more than $2 billion in major developments and capital projects, most notably the Qantas Global Headquarters redevelopment.
Phil received an Honours degree in Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and is a Chartered Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in building development, design, facilities and property management in Australia and the United Kingdom. Phil is a Member of the Chartered Energy Institute, a Member of the Royal Chartered Institute of Occupational Health and Safety, and a past Chair of the Queensland chapter of the Chartered institution of Building Services Engineers. Phil is also a longstanding member of the Property Council of Australia’s National Sustainability Roundtable, an industry committee showcasing thought leadership beyond current industry best practice across strategic environmental, social, economic and governance aspects of sustainability.
Prior to joining Cromwell, Phil spent nine years with UK based Chelsfield PLC where he was involved in a number of major developments including the White City and Merry Hill shopping centres.
